DIVISIONISMO
TRA TORINO E MILANO
DA SEGANTINI A BALLA
La mostra intende esplorare attraverso
quaranta opere i percorsi del Divisionismo
partendo dall'epicentro della pittura divisa
italiana: il Piemonte e la Lombardia.
All'ingresso del secolo nuovo, accanto
ai maestri ormai storicizzati, si affiancano
pittori di più giovane generazione:
i prossimi Futuristi, come Carlo Carrà,
Umberto Boccioni, Giacomo Balla, Leonardo
Dudreville, promettenti autori legati
per nascita o per formazione alla storia
artistica piemontese e lombarda del tempo.
L'esposizione conduce il cammino
del Divisionismo fino alle soglie
del Futurismo (1910).
/ The exhibition will explore through 40
artworks the paths of Pointillism painting
starting from the epicenter of the movement
in Piedmont and Lombardy. At the beginning
of the new century, in addition to the masters,
they start to emerge painters of the younger
generation: the future Futurists, as Carlo
Carrà, Umberto Boccioni, Giacomo Balla,
Leonardo Dudreville. The exhibition leads
the path of Pointillism up to 1910,
that means, until the beginning of Futurism.

E LA GRANDE GUERRA
Per il centenario della Prima guerra
mondiale, l'esposizione vuole dedicare
particolare attenzione al significato che
ebbe per Torino il conflitto dal punto
di vista della mobilitazione, della
propaganda e dell'assistenza, ma anche
per le conseguenze della guerra sulla vita
e le attività della città. Saranno esposti
disegni, litografie, fotografie, manufatti
di reduci e di profughi, oggetti di uso
quotidiano, manifesti, cartoline postali,
volantini e molte altre testimonianze coeve.
/ The exhibition, dedicated to the centenary
of the First World War, aims to give special
attention to what the conflict meant to Turin
in terms of mobilization, propaganda
and assistance, but also to the consequences
of the war on the daily life of the city. The
exhibition will include drawings, lithographs,
photographs, artifacts of veterans and refugees,
everyday objects, posters, postcards, flyers
and many other coeval evidences.

IN ITALY. LE MERAVIGLIE
D'ITALIA DAL MEDIOEVO
AL RINASCIMENTO FINO
ALL'ETA' DEL BAROCCO
La mostra rintraccia nella storia
della produzione artistica italiana quei
momenti straordinari, tra Medioevo
e prima Età moderna, in cui la qualità
artistica, la capacità di innovazione
e l'eccellenza tecnica si sono unite
per produrre beni che, riconoscibili per il loro
stile e diventati di moda, sono stati esportati
nel resto d'Europa. Dai tessuti lucchesi
a quelli veneziani e genovesi, dagli avori
medievali degli Embriachi alle invenzioni
dell'oreficeria milanese del Cinquecento,
dalle armature lombarde ai bronzetti
che diffusero il gusto per l'antico,
fino alle maioliche di Faenza poi note
in Francia come faïences.
/ The exhibition retraces the steps of Italian
art production between the Middle Ages
and the Early Modern Age identifying the key
moments in which the blend of artistic quality,
innovation and technical excellence created
a unique heritage that soon became well-known
and fashionable enough to be exported across
Europe. From the fabrics woven in Lucca, Venice
and Genoa to the Medieval ivory works
of the Embriachi family and the inventions
of the goldsmiths of Milan in the 16th century,
from the Lombard armors to the bronzetti which
spread a taste for antiques and the majolica
of Faenza which then became known in France
as faïences.

TIMETABLE.
A TAVOLA NEI SECOLI
La mostra, partendo dal tema del rito
conviviale della tavola, evoca spaccati
di vita quotidiana nel corso dei secoli.
Uno spettacolare allestimento, costituito
da tavoli imbanditi disposti radialmente
attorno a un fulcro centrale, rappresenta
una sorta di orologio che riprende il gioco
di parole del titolo. In tutto sei tavole allestite
con suppellettili in ceramica, vetro e metallo di
varie epoche (dal basso Medioevo
al Novecento). Le sei tavole si alternano
a tre "gallerie": la mensa rituale dell'altare,
dove si celebra il banchetto del sacramento
eucaristico, l'evoluzione di forme particolari
di vasellame e recipienti legati all'arte
del bere, bicchieri, bottiglie e brocche.
/ The exhibition, starting from the theme
of the ritual of convivial table, evokes slices
of everyday life over the centuries.
A spectacular exhibition, consisting
of laid tables arranged radially around
a central hub, that is a sort of clock which
takes up the play on words of the title.
In total, six tables fitted with furnishings
in ceramic, glass and metal from various
periods (fom Middle Ages to 20th century).
The six tables alternate three exhibition
sections dedicated to the Mass ritual
of altar, where it is celebrated the feast
of the sacrament of the Eucharist,
to the evolution of particular forms of pottery
vessels and to the art of drinking glasses,
bottles and jugs.
