NUOVO MUSEO EGIZIO
Avrete a disposizione ben 10mila mq in cui i
reperti saranno disposti, in sequenza crono-
logica, su quattro piani ed esposti in percorsi
a tema, tutti da scoprire. Potrete ammirare
oltre 200 papiri lungo un percorso di 18m, la
Galleria dei Sarcofagi con 35 pezzi finemente
decorati oltre a quello di Kha; stupirvi davanti
a vetrine tridimensionali che ospiteranno ben
3500 reperti (suddivisi in classi di materiali
diversi, legni, vetri, ceramiche) dei 50mila pos-
seduti, ma anche contemplare antichi affreschi
presenti nelle sale del 1° piano, riemersi dopo
200 anni sotto 5mani di pittura e ora recupera-
ti. Preziose testimonianze di specifiche epoche
e luoghi dell’antica storia egizia ma nello
stesso tempo il risultato di una pratica
di esplorazione, scavo e acquisizione.
/ Youwill have at disposal 10 inwhich
the exhibits will be arranged in chronological
sequence over four floors and shown in themed
routes, all to be discovered. You can admire over
200 papyrus items along a 18m stretch, the Gallery
of Sarcophaguses with 35 finely decorated pieces,
including that of Kha.Then you can look inwon-
der at the three-dimensional glass display units
gathering about 3,500 exhibits (divided by classes
of different materials: wood, glass, ceramics) out
of the 50,000 owned, and, in the rooms of the 1st
floor, you can also contemplate the ancient frescoes
which had resurfaced after 200 years beneath five
coats of paint and are now restored.The valuable
evidence of specific eras and places of ancient
Egyptian history but, at the same time, the result of
exploration, digging and acquisition.
